Residents escaped north Toledo house fire

Residents of the home told WNWO that someone threw a gas can through the window to start the fire.

Toledo firefighters are battling another fire Friday morning that broke out in a north Toledo home.

Crews were battling a vacant house fire in west Toledo when another reported fire called crews to a house in the 700 block of Magnolia Street.

Authorities said crews are trying to contain the fire and two people live in the house. The resident made a call around 5:30 a.m. and were able to escape, but one of their dogs is missing. Residents of the home told WNWO that someone threw a gas can through the window to start the fire.

Portions of the house have collapsed. Firefighters were able to contain the fire around 7 a.m.

WNWO will have more updates as the investigation continues.
