Residents are prohibited from driving during a Level III snow emergency, but some residents had a reason to weather the storm.
South Toledo resident Adrian Pierce had to get medicine for her daughter. "I had to go to the pharmacy for my daughter because she has some tests tomorrow," Ms. Pierce said.
Some residents not willing to drive during the snow emergency chose to walk. Downtown Toledo resident Melissa James walked in blizzard-like conditions to a gas station convenience store to buy groceries.
"It's horrible and today is my birthday and I can't believe it because today is my birthday and yesterday was so nice," Ms. James said.
