Results for Tuesday's Special Elections

Tuesday was election day in some parts of Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan and WNWO has compiled the results of the major issues on the ballot.

The first, the Swanton local school district asked voters to approve a bond and tax levy after a similar request was defeated 3 months ago.

The new request was also defeated, on Tuesday, with the majority of voters in both Fulton and Lucas Counties voting against it.

This time 62% of residents, in Lucas and Fulton Counties, voted against the proposal.

In Perkins Township, Erie County voters also weighed in on a new funding request after a failure in {<}ay.

In that case, voters again rejected the the proposal for a 10-year, 6.73-mill levy in a vote of 2,142 to 2,482.

In Michigan, voters in Lenawee County had four issues on the ballot including a levy for Blissfield Community Schools.

Officials said the money would be used to help pay for building projects and repairs but was also defeated on Tuesday.
