Revol Wireless will go out of business in January

It will officially close on Jan. 16, 2014.

Revol Wireless, a smaller cellphone service provider with customers in Northwest Ohio, have announced that they will go out of business next month.

The company made the announcement on its website, this week, saying that would officially close on Jan. 16, 2014.

A notice on Revol's website explained when services would end.

"All Revol stores will stop taking bill payments after Tuesday, December 17. If you have paid for your Revol service through December 17, your service will remain active through January 16. All Revol service will terminate at 11:59 pm on January 16, 2014 and no refunds will be given for paid service beyond this date."

The message adds that on Wednesday, Dec. 18, some Revol stores would become Boost Mobile retailers. For a limited time, Revol's former clients would be eligible for a special offer with Boost.

From Dec. 18 to Dec. 24, Revol's old customers in Sandusky would qualify for a free Boost Mobile phone, be allowed to keep their existing number and receive a free month of service if they signed up with Boost Mobile.

The company's message did not offer an explanation why they were going out of business.
