Rossford police search for bearded bandit who threatened to kill Rite Aid workers

A white male with dark hair and beard reportedly demanded pills and threatened to kill Rite Aid employees with a gun.

Rossford Police are searching for a man they say robbed a Rite Aid store and threatened to kill employees Wednesday afternoon.

Around 3:35 p.m., police in Rossford received a call of men carrying a shotgun into a Shell True North station at 1000 Buck Road. Upon arrival at the store, officers determined the call was a hoax. As they were at the gas station, another call came in reporting a robbery at Rite Aid, 801 Dixie Highway.

A white male with dark hair and beard reportedly demanded pills and threatened to kill drug store employees with a gun. The suspect fled through the rear of the Rite Aid. It has not been said if he got away with any stolen merchandise.

The suspect is described as a white male with dark hair, beard, and last seen wearing a leather coat, ball cap, Velcro gloves, and mirrored sunglasses. According to Rossford Police, the suspect is still at large.

If you have any information on the reported robbery, or are able to identify the suspect captured in surveillance images, you are asked to contact Rossford Police at 419-666-5230.
