Rossford Police take company to court to fix traffic issues

Rossford Police are trying to resolve an ongoing traffic issue by citing a train company.

Rossford Police have cited a railroad company in the hopes they can resolve an ongoing traffic issue.

After a CSX train blocked the railroad crossing at Glenwood Road, on Tuesday, Rossford Police issued a ticket to the transportation company.

Chief Glenn Goss said Tuesday that CSX trains have blocked the Glenwood Road railroad crossing and one at Lime City Road repeatedly over the years.

Goss called the problem "a serious hindrance to citizens...[and] emergency vehicles" responding to people in need.

Officials hope their decision to pursue the company, in a court of law, will open a line of communication between the police department and CSX.
