Runaway inmate arrested after high speed chase

Aaron Garrett, 26, was arrested Monday night after a high speed chase.

The driver arrested during a high speed chase on Monday night has been identified as the inmate who walked away from a Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio work site a month ago.

Aaron Garrett, 26, was charged with failure to comply with a police order, escape and domestic violence. His passenger, Mackenzie McBride, was not charged at the time of the incident.

Bryan police issued a warrant for Garrett after he allegedly walked away from the work site in his orange jumpsuit on Jan. 23.

Garrett had been incarcerated at Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio in Stryker on two charges of driving under the influence, two charges of driving without a license and an attempt to commit an offense charge out of Maumee and Toledo municipal courts.
