The Seagate Center in downtown Toledo was the site of the 57th Annual Radio Control Exposition.
The event brings enthusiasts of radio controlled cars and airplanes into one location to compete against each other and to get a look at new technology.
Rick Lederman who has been involved with radio controlled cars and airplanes for over 40 years says the hobby is growing. "I would say that there are probably around 500 people in the Toledo area who do stuff with radio controlled cars and airplanes every weekend," Mr. Lederman said. Lederman adds that the hobby has increased in popularity because it has become more affordable and the equipment has become more reliable.
