Serial stabbing suspect convicted of murder in Michigan

Elias Abuelazam

The Michigan man accused of trying to kill a Toledo church custodian two years ago has been convicted of murder in Flint.

A jury found Elias Abuelazam guilty of fatally stabbing 49-year-old Arnold Minor in August 2010.

Minor's blood was found on his clothes and his suv. Abuelazam was arrested at Atlanta's airport trying to board a plane to his native Israel.

Investigators say he asked for directors or help with his car before stabbing his victims. They say five of the 14 men he stabbed in the Flint area in the summer of 2010 died.

He's also facing attempted murder charges in Toledo and Leesburg, Virginia.
