Several fire departments fight large Hancock Co. pallet yard fire
ALVADA, Ohio —
Over 15 fire departments and emergency services from Hancock, Seneca and Wyandot Counties faced a massive pallet yard fire Friday evening.
At approximately 6:30 p.m. a fire broke out on the premises of BR Pallet, a supplier on Hancock County Road 7. Multiple adjacent buildings and semi-trucks caught fire soon after.
Nearby residents said they saw propane-based explosions and 50-feet-high flames erupting. Firefighters had to replenish water using nearby ponds and were on scene past midnight.
Three buildings have been destroyed but no injuries have been reported.
