The Toledo-Lucas County Main Library doubled as an art gallery for local talent on Tuesday evening.
From now until April 26 the Shared Lives Studio Exhibition will be on display on the second floor of the downtown library on Michigan Street.
The artwork includes drawings, paintings, 3-D pieces, hand-painted fabric and other mixed-media works by artists with disabilities. The exhibit opened at a reception on Tuesday where artists were proud to show off their work.
â??Itâ??s really fulfilling for me,â?? said artist Kelley Brown, who brought her mother and sister-in-law to the gallery.
Shared Lives Studio & Gallery is located in downtown Toledo at 20 North Saint Clair Street. The non-profit visual arts center helps people with disabilities become working artists.
