Shots fired in Sylvania Twp. bank robbery

Police and federal agents are searching for five men who robbed a Sylvania Township bank at gunpoint Wednesday morning.

The five male suspects, armed with shotguns, entered the Key Bank branch at 5756 W. Central Ave. around 10:50 a.m. After verbally demanding money from a teller, the suspects fired several shots inside the bank. No injuries were reported.

The suspects, who are seen in surveillance photos, fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash. They got away in a dark-colored minivan which has been stolen, according to authorities.

The suspects are described as males, approximately 20-30 years of age, with a medium build and about 5'6" to 5'8" tall. They were last seen wearing hooded sweatshirts, baseball caps, sweat pants, and blue jeans. All suspects wore masks and gloves during the armed robbery.
