The Ohio Attorney General's Office says a federal judge should not let a former Toledo rare coin dealer and GOP fundraiser out of jail.
Tom Noe petitioned for freedom in June with the U.S. District Court in Toledo. The state says Noe failed to show he was depreived of a fair trial.
Noe is serving 18 years in prison for his role in a state investment scandal. The former Toledo area coin dealer claimed the trial judge made errors, including not moving his case.
Noe's lawyer says that he was subjected to an "unrelenting barrage" of local media coverage in Toledo. His attorney says he intends to reply to the state's filing.
Should Noe get another chance? Sound off below.
