I'm taking no joy in delivering this forecast... After a tease of summer-like warmth the past few days an early April-like chill is headed our way. We've got plenty of rain to deal with between now and the weekend as well.
A cold front is moving through the region flushing any warmth off to the east. This cold front will stall across western Pennsylvania and act as a conveyor belt for Gullf of Mexico to surge into the region and provide widespread showers and thunderstorms delivering locally heavy and potentially flooding rains right on into the day on Friday. If you're in a flood prone area stay weather vigilant and be prepared to move to higher ground.
We're wet and cool today with widespread showers developing towards mid-day and continuing into this afternoon and evening. High temps will be nearly 15 degrees cooler that yesterday - in the low and mid 60's.
Showers and t'storms will continue overnight with lows in the mid 50's. Thursday offers more of the same but will be a bit cooler and with some winds gusting to 30mph. Some of the rain will be heavy at times and highs will only get into the upper 50's.
Friday and Saturday will bring more showers and be the coolest days with highs only getting into the mid 50's. Ouch!
We begin to clear things out, finally on Sunday and it has to be the "pick of the weekend". Sunday looks partly cloudy with highs near 60 degrees - a dozen below our normal highs in the lower 70's.
Things improve early next week and by Tuesday, with sunshine, highs get back to seasonal levels.
Remember the rain gear and a couple of extra layers if headed out at anytime the rest of the week.
In spite of all of the I hope you make it a great day!
