Sleeping intruder busted in closet of Monroe Co. home

Monroe County Sheriff's deputies arrested a sleeping intruder over the weekend.

According to the Monroe Evening News, investigators were called out to a home on West Ninth Street on Saturday after a potential renter found the man curled up in a ball, sleeping inside a closet.

The man reportedly told deputies he took a bunch of sleeping pills and didn't remember kicking up the door to get inside. The 23-year-old man said he was homeless and needed a place to stay for the night.
