Shoppers stocked up on last-minute purchases before the snowfall on Saturday.
Shovels, food and milk were at the top of many shopping lists, as worries mounted in advance of the storm.
â??If youâ??re going to live in this region of the country you mine as well plan on having a handful of these days every year,â?? said Chris Maloney. â??Weâ??re gonna have enough provisions to weather the storm, watch football and enjoy ourselves generally.â??
Orders at food delivery businesses also heat up during snow storms. Business at Mama Maryâ??s Pizza on Airport Highway nearly doubled on Saturday.
â??People just donâ??t want to come out of their homes,â?? said Frank Hornik, owner of Mama Maryâ??s Pizza. â??A lot of times rather than cook theyâ??ll call and want a pizza to be delivered.â??
Just donâ??t expect a quick delivery.
