The first solar eclipse since 1994 will be visible in the western United States. The eclispe will take place at 7pm mountain time. A solar eclipse is when the moon passes between the sun and the earth and gives the sun a bright ring around the edge. Northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan will miss out on Sunday's solar eclipse. The next solar eclispse that will be visible in the Great Lakes will be April 8th 2024.
