Police released details of a serious injury crash that closed a busy Toledo intersection Friday afternoon.
According to Toledo Police, an SUV driven by Brian Rosenburg, of Jefferson, Ohio, was northbound on Byrne Road at a very high rate of speed when it struck the rear of a Dodge Neon. The car was crushed between Rosenburg's vehicle and another sport utility vehicle.
Emergency crews used the Jaws of Life to remove a female driver from the Neon. She was transported to an area hospital. Her identity has not been released. There is no word on the extent of her injuries.
Rosenburg was also transported an area hospital with unknown injuries. He is listed as a student at the University of Toledo.
Two other vehicles were also damaged.
The crash, which occurred at 1:07 p.m., closed down Dorr Street from Secor Road to Byrne Road during the mid-day.
Police have not said if any charges will be brought against Rosenburg.
