A spokeswoman for Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine says he will remain in a Cincinnati hospital overnight after a bout of vertigo.
DeWine spokeswoman Lisa Hackley says in a statement that DeWine is feeling much better after earlier feeling ill prior to a speaking engagement in Cincinnati.
She said DeWine will remain at The Christ Hospital for observation Friday night, but he is expected to be released Saturday.
Earlier Friday, an ambulance took DeWine from a downtown restaurant near Fountain Square to the hospital for evaluation.
The 67-year-old DeWine is a former U.S. senator and Ohio lieutenant governor. After losing his Senate seat to Democrat Sherrod Brown in 2006, DeWine ran for attorney general in 2010 and won.
DeWine, a Republican, is seeking re-election in November.
