SR-15 Closed near Findlay following roll-over crash

Update: SR-15 re-opened around 10:30 pm on Thursday night.

Just before 8:30 p.m., on Thursday, SR-15 in both directions was shut down due to a roll-over accident.

According to ODOT the roadway was closed between County Road 8 and State Route 37, near mile marker 21.

The Hancock County Sheriff's Office says the closure was due to a single-vehicle crash that happened around 7:45 along SR-15, just east of TR 140 in Jackson Township.

Investigators say that 46-year-old Matthew Dixon, of Marion, lost control of the Freightliner he was driving and went off the roadway into the median.

His vehicle rolled over once before coming to a stop.

Dixon had to be rescued from the truck and was taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital with unknown injuries.

The roadway was closed for about 2 hours while emergency crews responded to the scene.
