Stores note busier crowds for tax-free weekend
ROSSFORD, OHIO (WNWO)-- For the past three years Ohio has declared a tax free weekend for school supplies and clothing
While each year stores say they see an influx of people, this year in particular was busy.
"It reminds me of Christmas. I don't think I've ever seen it so early in the school year this busy," said Judy Cassidy store Director at Meijer in Rossford.
August 7th through the 9th school supplies $20 or less and clothing $75 or less can be purchased tax free.
For Sheri Lindsey, mom and teacher, those dollars make a difference.
""I have three kids and like I said the classroom, so it does add up," said Lindsey. Every little bit helps.
To get ready for the weekend store associate at the Rossford Meijer start a month in advance.
Stores are expecting thousands of shoppers this weekend looking to save.
