      Stranger Danger incident reported in Walbridge

      Authorities in Walbridge are warning residents of a man who may have been attempting to abduct a child Tuesday afternoon.

      Authorities in Walbridge are warning residents of a man who may have been attempting to abduct a child Tuesday afternoon.

      The Stranger Danger incident occurred around 3 p.m. near S. Main Street and Clinton, according to Walbridge Police.

      A male with a beard was said to be driving a white-colored van with shag carpet on the dashboard. The van approached a juvenile girl while she was walking home from a library.

      The van came to a sudden stop in heavy traffic, made a U-turn, approached the child, and asked for directions to Union Street.

      The juvenile then ran home. Police were notified.
