      Student artworks receive awards from Congresswoman Kaptur

      The artwork of the first place winner will be displayed in the Capitol Building in Washington D.C. for a year.

      TOLEDO - Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur presented awards to some talented artists Sunday.The 31st annual Ninth Congressional District Arts competition showcased 60 pieces of artwork that decorated the lobby of Fifth Third Center in downtown Toledo.The exhibition features artwork of students from 11 different high schools in the area. A panel of local artists and art educators reviewed the variety of artwork to select the top winners.The artwork of the first place winner will be displayed in the Capitol Building in Washington D.C. for a year. The runner-up artwork will be displayed in U.S. House Representative Marcy Kaptur's office.
