Student who brought gun to Raymer Elementary faces sentencing

A school employee found the gun in the student's coat and called police on March 22.

A Raymer Elementary School student admitted to bringing a loaded handgun to school last month at his trial on Tuesday.

The 15-year-old student now faces an April 25 sentencing on two gun felony charges, which could lead to him being sent to a youth detention center until he turns 21.

Police say the student admitted to buying the gun from someone on the street, but says he never showed the gun to classmates or threatened anyone.
