Sunset Bistro donates 20% of all bills toward homeless veterans

Owner of Sunset Bistro, Prudence Brott, honors her late father with veterans donations (WNWO).

Sunset Bistro in Bowling Green spent the day Thursday raising money to help homeless veterans.

20 % of all of the sales at the restaurant were donated to the charity, Veterans Matter.

The money goes toward deposits for homeless veterans to immediately move into a home.

Sunset Bistro also chose three specific veterans to receive donated items.

The event holds a special place in the heart of the owner, Prudence Brott.

"We do this in memory of my dad, David Brott. He was a Vietnam veteran, and he passed away December 17th, 2014. So we do this in his name, but we do it in honor of all veterans here in the United States."

Sunset Bistro will continue to receive donations until December 21st. All money and items raised will be delivered to Veterans Matter on the 22nd.
