Here we go again as the upper level pattern we've had in place since late July delivers another BIG dome of high pressure featuring sunshine, low humidity and coomfortable highs in the mid and upper 70's.
This pattern gave Toledo the 3rd Coolest July since at least 1871 and August has offered more of the same this far as we are more than 2 degrees (-2.2) below what we typically see through August 12.
After the chilly start this morning, most of us saw sunrise temps in the mid 50's, mostly sunny skies will warm us into the lower 70's by lunch time. It will be a nice lunch hour to spend outside in a park or on a restaurant patio. Make sure your sunglasses are dusted off and ready to perch! Highs this afternoon will be at least five degrees beolw normal - in the mid 50's.
Skies clear this evening and we grow chilly overnight with lows more than 10 degrees below normal as many neighborhoods will fall into the upper 40's by dawn. Skies will be sunny Thursday with highs in the mid 70's once again. Expect a carbon copy with more of the same Friday - mostly sunny with afternoon high in the mid and upper 70's - a great kickoff to a more summerlike weekend.
Saturday is the pick of the weekend with partly cloudy skies early and skies becoming hazy during the afternoon as heat and humidity build. Highs get into the low and mid 80's. We're in the 80's again Sunday with the chance of scattered showers and storms developing from mostly cloudy skies.
