Super Bowl traffic blitz slows reckless drivers

Officers stopped 105 vehicles and gave 73 speeding tickets during Super Bowl weekend.

New York Giants players weren't the only ones blitzing on Sunday--the Toledo Police Department was also hard at work, cracking down on reckless driving during the Super Bowl weekend.

Officers working Toledo's traffic enforcement blitz stopped 105 vehicles, gave 73 speeding citations, 25 other citations and 18 warnings.

A special grant administered by the State of Ohio Department of Criminal Justice Service paid the extra officers who worked the weekend.
