Supersize baby delivered naturally, no epidural

13lb, 13 oz. baby born epidural.

While the baby might not be a record setter...his mom's patience and tolerance for pain might be.

"Little" Asher Stewardson came into the world last week at an astonishing 13 pounds, 13 ounces...and measured out just shy of two feet long at 23 and one half inches.

And if that didn't raise your eyebrows...maybe this will. Asher was delivered naturally, and mom skipped the epidural.

Asher's mom, Kendall, told the Des Moines Register â??We wanted to avoid a C-section because that would have not been good for me or the baby. We didnâ??t want to forfeit the best possible outcome.â??

He is believed to be the biggest baby ever born at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa without a surgical delivery and follows on the heels of his 15-month-old brother, Judah, who weighed 12 pounds, 1 ounce at birth.

Asher is healthy and did not have gestational diabetes.

Mom's labor lasted only six hours...telling the paper that having Asher as naturally as possible was extremely important to her and her husband, Joshua, who live in Des Moines.

The biggest baby on record in Iowa since 1980 weighed 14 pounds, 13 ounces. Only one-tenth of one percent of all newborns weigh more than 11 pounds at birth, according to information provided by the hospital.

Hey, Mom...could you pull that one off without an epidural? What's the biggest baby you've personally heard of being born naturally?
