SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP -- A man has been charged in the fatal stabbing of an elderly woman in Springfield Township.

Lucas County Sheriff's deputies said 41-year-old Adam L. Akers was arrested shortly after 10 a.m. Thursday.

Akers is accused of murdering 72-year-old Judith Uyttenhove. The woman was found dead in her trailer at the Royal Village mobile home community on Dorr Street near King Road Wednesday night.

According to the deputies, Akers and his father were living with Uyttenhove in her trailer at the time of her death.

Authorities say Uyttenhove's daughter had been dating the suspect's father. After her daughter passed away, Akers and his father continued to live with Uyttenhove.

Akers was taken into custody at 1900 Delence in Toledo. He is currently being held in the Lucas County Jail.
