Suspect captured for fatal fire in Hidden Cedars Condominiums

Kenya McGhee, 38, faces two counts of homicide and two counts of arson.

U.S. Marshals arrested a woman Friday in connection with the fatal fires of the Hidden Cedars Condominiums.

Authorities captured Kenya McGhee, 38, in Houston before noon. The fire happened March 2, 2012 that left dozens of tenants homeless and killed two people in a massive structure fire. Deputy U.S. Marshal Rodney Hartzell confirmed one of the victims who died in the fire was the suspect's father.

The fire destroyed a 24-unit building after several fires had occurred there earlier that year. Many of the tenants had no insurance policies and lost everything.

WATCH: WNWO reports the recount those who escaped the fire.

Investigators ruled the fire was set intentionally, but the case had gone cold without any arrests.

McGhee faces two counts of homicide and two counts of arson.
