Suspect flees after robbing Genoa bank

Authorities in Genoa are searching for a suspect seen robbing a Huntington Bank branch in the village Friday morning.

A lone male suspect entered the bank at 1509 Main St. around 10:20 a.m. and demanded money from the teller. The suspect then fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Elementary schools in Genoa were placed on lockdown temporarily Friday as authorities searched for the suspect.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 20's, 5'8" to 5'10" tall and weighing 150170 lbs. with a slim build. He was last seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt worn inside out, dark nylon wind pants, red and blue bandana, large sunglasses and brown shoes.
