Suspects charged in shooting of two outside bar

T wo suspects are in custody after two men were shot outside a South Toledo bar early Thursday morning.
The incident occurred just before 1:00 a.m. at the Lair Lounge at Glendale Ave. and Byrne Rd. behind the Southland Shopping Center. Police say a fight between the two victims and one suspect broke out inside the bar. The suspect then retrieved a gun from his car before assaulting the victims outside the bar.
John Primas 40, of Maumee, was shot twice in the chest and once in the leg. John Ferner, 62, of Toledo, was also shot in the ear. The suspect, Jason Craighead, 31, of Toledo, allegedly got into his car after the shooting and struck Primas with his vehicle.
Craighead and Jada James, 32, who both live at the same East Toledo address, fled the scene and were stopped a short time later by and arrested without incident. Craighead is charged with three counts of felonious assault. James is charged with obstructing justice. Both have been booked into the Lucas County Jail.
Primas and Ferner were taken to the nearby University of Toledo Medical Center. Their conditions are unknown at this time.
