Teen passenger dies in semi crash in Ash Township

A teenage girl died in a two-vehicle crash involving a semi Wednesday afternoon in Ash Township, Mich.

17-year-old Chelsea Klocek was a passenger riding in a Jeep when it collided with a semi-tractor trailer around 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of N. Telegraph Road and Sigler Road.

The driver of the vehicle, 17-year-old Violet Pasho of Newport, was rushed to the Oakwood-South Shore Hospital in Trenton. Pasho is listed in critical condition as of this time.

Officials said the semi-truck driver was not injured in the crash.

Ohio State Highway Patrol and Monroe County Sheriff's Office are investigating the crash. Officials said alcohol did not play a role.
