The teen accused of being the driver of a getaway car after the deadly shooting of a BP store clerk last year has pleaded guilty.
Tony Bivens faces up to eight years behind bars after pleading guilty to aggravated robbery charges Wednesday. He will be sentenced April 23.
Bivens, entered and Alford pleas in Lucas Co. Common Pleas Court to a charge of complicity to commit aggravated robbery. In an Alford plea, the defendant maintains his innocence or does not admit he committed a crime. However, the defendant pleads guilty because he decides it is in his best interest. The court treats the plea as a guilty plea.
