A 19-year-old woman in Huron County will serve three months in jail and three years of probation for having sex with a 13-year-old boy.
According to authorities, Kendra Hoskins, of Willard, was 18-years-old when she began sending sexually-explicit text messages to her friend's younger brother. The texts, which were discovered by the boy's mother, contained sexual requests, sexual declarations, and even photographs of Hoskins in underwear or naked.
Hoskins admitted to having sex with the boy one time in August 2009; however, the boy told investigators that the pair had sex multiple times and that Hoskins was aware of his age. She pleaded guilty, last month, to unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.
In court on Tuesday, Hoskins was sentenced the three months in jail and three years of probation, which includes use of the Internet or a cell phone capable of sending/receiving texts or taking photographs. She will also have to register as a Tier II sex offender for the next 25 years, becoming part of a very small group of sex offenders in the region.
