      Teenage boy dies in two-car collision on SR 637

      Officials said alcohol did not play a role in the collision.

      A 17-year-old driver died in two-car crash Wednesday afternoon on State Route 637.


      Ohio State Highway Patrol said the crash happened just before 3 p.m. when 17-year-old Robert Seffernick's vehicle collided with a jeep along SR 647 near Elm Sugar Road.


      Troopers said Seffernick lost control on the roadway and went left of center, hitting a jeep driven by 64-year-old David Simko of Toledo.


      Simko was seriously injured in the crash.


      Officials said alcohol did not play a role in the collision.
