More than 400 new jobs are coming to Findlay.

O fficials with Texas-based grocery retail supplier, McLane, announced they're building a grocery distribution center in Findlay. They say jobs will pay around $57,000 a year with benefits.

" I t's a huge advantage to us we think in the state of Ohio, because it's an ultra competitive market, and we like to say that Findlay is a great place to do business," explained Findlay Mayor Lydia Mihalik.

M ihalik credits the economic win for her city to an increase in the community reinvestment area. I t's designed to encourage economic development in areas that haven't seen re-investment, rebuilding or construction. A lso , M c L ane will get a tax break estimated to be around $2 to $3 million.

A ccording to Findlay's mayor, the Texas company will re-invest a half million dollars for infrastructure and $100,000 for workforce development.
