Toledo has come down with Bowersox-fever, and even the 2010 corn maze season is being affected.
The Butterfly House announced yesterday that this year TMs corn maze will have a Crystal Bowersox theme. The 24-year old ~American Idol TM runner-up was shown the designs Monday morning during her brief stop in the Toledo area to promote this year TMs ~American Idol TM tour and visit with her family, and was very excited about it.
Bowersox made two radio appearances Monday morning, on WRVF-FM 101.5, the River, and WWWM-FM 105.5, Star. She told the River, I zipped down here from Detroit. I want to see my family, spend a little time with them, just a few minutes, and then we're off to Detroit."
She also said her father was keeping her informed about the tornado recovery, and announced on Star that she would be auctioning off a necklace designed after her first tattoo to help with recovery funds, and that she hoped to perform a benefit concert after the ~American Idol TM tour finishes.
Bowersox also signed a guitar that will be auctioned off by the River. All funds from the auctions will go to tornado relief.
The ~American Idol TM tour will feature Bowersox and nine other finalists. The tour arrives at the Huntington Center on September 2. Remaining tickets are priced at $50.50 and $70.50, and can be purchased at www.livenation.com, all Ticketmaster locations, the Huntington Center box office, or by calling 1-800-745-3000.
The Butterfly House corn maze will begin on Saturday, September 11 and run through October 31. The maze will be open Thursdays through Sundays.
