Numbers just released yesterday show that the number of people applying for unemployment benefits has risen by 2,000 over the past week. If you are one of those seeking employment, The Source Northwest Ohio is hosting another "Get a Job Friday" job fair today. From 10 a.m. until noon, job seekers are welcome to attend to meet employers seeking to fill positions in a variety of industries. Organizers say that, if you plan to attend the free event, be sure to come appropriately dressed, have a resume, and be prepared for an interview.
According to the Labor Department, though unemployment benefit applications rose by 2,000, the four week average fell by 5,500 to the lowest level since late March. Last month, employers added 163,000 jobs, which is the most job growth since February.
