Therapy chickens? Mich. family seeks online help to save them

More than 5,000 friends have signed Katelyn's online petition.

A family in Michigan wants to save their service animal from getting kicked out.

Katelyn Anderson's family claims the city is trying to get rid of chickens in their household. Her mother, Laura Anderson, said these chickens are instrumental in helping their little girl with cerebral palsy.

"She realized it was fun to collect their eggs and feed them. She liked that responsibility of being around them. She liked watching them interact with each other," Anderson said.

That's why Katelyn's mother posted an online petition to gain the support of her cause. More than 8,000 friends have signed her online petition.
