Third suspect in custody for Waterville deadly home invasion

Safadi was killed in 8900-block of S. River Road.

Officials arrested a third suspect in connection to a Waterville man shot and killed in his home.

20-year-old Adam Jovan Anderson faces murder and aggravated robbery charges for a deadly home invasion in May, according to Lucas County Sheriff John Tharp.

Police were called to a house in the 8900-block of S. River Road, where they found 34-year-old James Safadi shot with at least one gunshot wound. Medics rushed him to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead from the gun shot wounds.

Two other men involved are facing murder and aggravated robbery charges. 18-year-old James Y. Allen, of Toledo, and 32-year-old Ronald Rooker, of Waterville, were arrested in June.

Rooker and Allen are awaiting trial.
