The Ottawa County Sheriff says a teen found family members who'd been killed and first thought it was a joke scene left from a Halloween party
Sheriff Bob Bratton says William Liske, 53, his 46-year-old wife, Sue, and her 23-year-old son, Derrick Griffin, were found dead Sunday afternoon. Sue's 16-year-old son discovered the bodies in the family's home 17 miles east of Toledo.
The sheriff tells The Blade a preliminary coroner's exam indicated the deaths were caused either by gunshot or a blunt object.
William Liske Jr., 24, was arrested in east-central Ohio's Carroll County, southeast of Canton, late Sunday. Officials in Ottawa County have filed one murder charge against him in order to allow a Carroll Co. court to act. More charges are pending.
The Lucas County Coroner's Office will perform complete autopsies on the three victims Monday.
William Liske's sister, Susan Dunmyer, is believed to have been killed early Monday morning after a fire broke out inside a detached garage on her Oregon, Ohio property. Dentals records are being used to confirm that the body found inside the fire was that of Dunmyer's.
