Three from Wauseon killed in truck-car crash

Three people were killed, including one teen, Thursday when their vehicle was struck by a semi in Fulton County.

Three people were killed, including one teen, Thursday when their vehicle was struck by a semi in Fulton County.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 4:45 p.m. on State Route 109 and County Road L in Pike Township.

Troopers said a 1996 Oldsmobile driven by 28-year-old Matthew Hahn was headed east on County Road L through the intersection when it was struck by a semi northbound on SR 109.

Hahn and his two passengers, 22-year-old Brandy Beltz and 16-year-old Brandon McCullough, all from Wauseon, were killed. Troopers said Beltz was also pregnant. Her unborn baby did not survive the crash.

The driver of the semi, 53-year-old Jeffrey Neal, of Muncie, Ind., was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation. Troopers have not said who was at fault.
