Police have taken three suspects into custody after a
home invasion turned homicide
in Fostoria late Wednesday night.
17-year-old Garrett Brown, who was considered armed and dangerous by Fostoria Police, was arrested Thursday. He and another arrested teen, 18-year-old Tyson Ogg, face charges of aggravated murder, aggravated burglary, and felonious assault. 19-year-old Dallas Salaz has also been arrested and is facing charges of complicity to commit aggravated murder, aggravated burglary, and felonious assault.
The three men were taken into custody in connection to the death of 20-year-old Janelle Mauricio and assault of 19-year-old Caleb Barto after a burglary at 218 E. Culbertson Street.
Fostoria Police say the murder scene has been processed and evidence collected with assistance from the Seneca County Prosecutorâ??s Office, Seneca County Sheriffâ??s Office, Seneca County Metrich Enforcement Unit, Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation and the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Mauricio's body has been transported to the Lucas County Coronerâ??s Office for an autopsy at the request of the Hancock County Coroner.
Numerous law enforcement agencies assisted in finding and apprehending Brown and Ogg.
