TIFFIN - A friend says the mother of five young children killed in a
Tiffin mobile home fire
identified them and kissed them goodbye.
The fire was reported shortly before 8 a.m. Sunday at lot #128 of the Highland Trailer Park, 686 S. Sandusky St. When rescue crews arrived at the scene, the mobile home was partially engulfed in flames.
Anna Angel's boyfriend, Timothy Fresch, and five small children were killed as a result of the blaze.
Engle-Shook Funeral Home in Tiffin identified the children as 6-year-old Tiara Angel, 5-year-old Stormie Huey, 4-year-old Trinity Huey, 3-year-old Sunshine Huey and 2-year-old Domonic Fresch.
Police and a neighbor say Angel learned about the fire while working a shift at a nearby Burger King and raced home on her bicycle.
Co-worker Patricia Boes tells the
she accompanied Angel as the woman identified her children at a hospital and kissed each one goodbye.
Authorities wouldn't comment on a possible cause of the fire. A state fire marshal's investigator says there were no indications of anything suspicious.
The investigator says it could take two days before authorities know how the six died.
