On Friday, the Seneca County Drug Task Force-METRICH Enforcement Unit, along with Agents from the Ohio Attorney Generalâ??s Office, BCI&I-Narcotics Division NW Ohio, the Ohio Taxation Department & additional Officers from the Tiffin Police Department & Seneca County Sheriffâ??s Office, executed a drug related search warrant at the Zig Stag in Tiffin.

Officials entered the business along East Market Street, owned by 35-year-old Shawn G. Stagnolia, looking for drug paraphernalia, US Currency, financial records & a large amount of suspected Synthetic Cannabinoids, also known as â??Herbal Incenseâ??, â??Spiceâ?? and â??K2â??.

Authorities say a 12 month investigation of the business began after receiving numerous complaints from young adults.

â??We noticed a very large influx of complaints, overdoses & Law Enforcement submissions or seizures of the herbal incense and through our investigation we found that the Zig Stag Store was one of the main suppliers of the substance in our community and with the assistance from the Ohio Attorney Generalâ??s Office, this issue was addressed! The abuse of these substances is becoming a problem, not only in our community but across the entire State & itâ??s literally poisoning our childrenâ??, Det. Charles W. Boyer, Unit Coordinator said.

Following the bust , charges of Trafficking in Drugs, Possession of Drugs, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Aggravated Funding of Drugs, Corrupting Another with Drugs, Permitting Drug Abuse, Abusing Harmful Intoxicants, Tax Violations & Money Laundering are now pending on several of the persons affiliated with the business.

Authorities want to encourage other citizens to continue reporting suspicious activity to their local law enforcement agencies or the Seneca County Drug Task Force - METRICH Enforcement Unit Crime Hotline at 1-877-446-Drug
