Toledo area school placed on "soft lock down" for precaution on Wednesday
SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WNWO) —
Kristina White from Springfield Schools tells NBC24 Dorr Elementary was placed on a soft lock down for precautionary measures today.
The move was in response from the Lucas County sheriff's department receiving numerous phone calls from a person of interest in the area of the Door Elementary School.
The lock down was put in place around 8:30 this morning which included having all exit and entrances to the school locked.
White added there was no immediate threat to the school, the students or the school office.
Parents of the students were immediately notified.
White said principal Cheri Copeland-Shull announced the soft lock down was lifted around noon.
Dorr Elementary has an enrollment of around 400 students.
