Toledo City Council election results to reveal final winners

Most of Novemberâ??s General Election results have already been decided, but seats for Toledo City Council remain too close to determine Election Day.

The Lucas County Board of Elections reviewed the numbers and will release results Thursday afternoon at Early Voting Center on Summit Street.

Candidates Theresa Gabriel, Adam Martinez, and Larry Sykes received a number of votes that varied within a few hundred in the 19,000 range.

Independent Gabriel received 19,274 votes; Incumbent Martinez garnered 19,202 votes; TPS Board member Sykes had 19,163 votes.

Twelve candidates sought for six spots -- four of them incumbents seeking re-election.

Incumbent Rob Ludeman and former Toledo mayor Jack Ford were the top candidates to receive more than 25,000 votes.
