A North Toledo carryout clerk who shot and killed a would-be-robber is now facing criminal charges.
28-year-old Bandar Abu-Karsh has been indicted on a charge of voluntary manslaughter.
The Lucas County Grand Jury concluded Abu-Karsh didn't act in self defense when he gunned down 25-year-old Lamar Allen on November 21.
Police say Allen and 25-year-old Joseph Hunter tried to rob the Express Carryout that day but ended up getting in a gun gight with the clerk.
Allen was killed. Hunter got away but was later arrested.
If convicted Abu-Karsh could get 11 years in prison. Acourt date has not been set.
