Toledo gas prices have shot back up to end 2013, reaching prices higher than the weekly national average.
They started at $3.36 per gallon, according to a GasBuddy.com report. The national average measured at about $3.25 per gallon, which is about 14 cents cheaper.
Drivers started out this month with gas prices below the $3 per gallon mark, but crept back up to start off 2014.
The average Monday morning was $3.40 for a gallon of regular gas in the survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and WEX Inc.
The national average Monday was $3.31, up 6 cents from last week.
The Ohio average is 23 cents higher than a month ago, and 3 cents higher than this time last year.
The lowest average gas price in the state Monday was $3.36 in the Youngtown area.
